Founding
Official creation of the Kumbo Council by presidential decree, granting it a modern administrative status as a decentralized local authority. It covers the same territory as Nso Central Sub-Division.
1999
Early 21st Century
Kumbo develops as a major economic, educational, and health hub for the region (important market, the Catholic hospital in Shisong renowned for cardiac surgery). It remains the undisputed seat of Nso culture and tradition, with Fon Sehm Mbinglo I (enthroned in 1999) as the central authority.
